Subject: txConnect Implementation



Dear Parent/Guardian:

Dawson ISD has implemented txConnect, a web-based parental information system through Dawson ISD's electronic gradebook system. The intent of this site is to enable the parent or guardian to monitor their child's progress with regards to assignments and grades in a easy to use Website based service. The txConnect service displays what your child's teachers have posted in their grade books for your child's grades. Please remember that this is a tool to enable the district, teachers, and parents or guardians to attain the fullest potential for the student.

Please remember the grades you see might not include all assignments or tests that have been completed by your child. Also, keep in mind that some assignments take longer to grade than others.  Each teacher has a different schedule for posting grades. Once new grades are posted by a teacher you will have instant access to the new information. Teachers usually have 1 week to post grades (most are done more frequently than that). If you have questions about any of these items, please contact the teacher via e-mail or phone.

The district will not be responsible for your inability to access txConnect, unless the problem is with our server.

Some pop-up blockers and web enhancements must be disabled or deleted for txConnect to function correctly. Be sure you disable or delete any of these items before using txConnect.

Before you are gained access to txConnect, you must first contact Donna Hatfield or Barbara Miller to receive your students portal ID number. The campus cannot release this information over the phone.
 

After you have received the portal ID information, you access the txConnect service from the Dawson ISD web site at http://www.dawsonisd.net or you can click here.
 

This site is currently only available to parents/guardians of students at Dawson ISD. All other uses are prohibited.

If you decide to send a e-mail, please make sure you include a detailed description of the problem you are having as well as your user name and contact information.
