My name is Kathy Balentine. This year will be year 23 at Dawson Elementary for me. I teach fourth thru sixth grade ELA and Writing.  I graduated from Mesquite High School and received my Bachelor's and Master's degree from Texas A&M Commerce.  I am married to a great guy named Tommy.  I have one son, Jason, daughter in-law, Brittany, and three wonderful grandchildren, Penny, Garrett, and Grant, who also attend Dawson Elementary.  My son is a graduate of Dawson ISD, as well.
