About Dawson ISD:
Dawson Independent School District is seeking a motivated and dynamic Teacher / Boys Assistant Coach to join our dedicated team. This role combines classroom teaching with athletic coaching responsibilities and requires a candidate who is passionate about both academic instruction and student-athlete development.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will serve as a classroom teacher (specific subject area dependent on certification and district needs) and contribute to the success of our boys’ athletic programs through assistant coaching responsibilities.

-Competitive salary based on experience and district pay scale

-Bachelor’s degree (required)
-Valid Texas teaching certification in applicable subject area (required or ability to obtain)
-Coaching experience at the high school or middle school level (preferred)
-Strong classroom management and instructional skills
-Ability to work collaboratively with staff and maintain a team-first mindset
-Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, for athletic responsibilities
-CDL or willingness to obtain a CDL for student transportation (preferred)
