Dawson Independent School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 4th–6th Grade Math Teacher to join our elementary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students develop strong math skills, critical thinking, and a love of learning. We are looking for an educator who is committed to academic excellence and fostering a positive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:
-Deliver engaging, TEKS-aligned math instruction to students in grades 4 through 6.
-Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of all learners, including differentiated instruction and small group support.
-Monitor and assess student progress using formal and informal assessments.
-Create a classroom culture that is safe, respectful, and conducive to learning.
-Collaborate with fellow teachers, instructional coaches, and support staff to support student achievement.
-Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
-Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
-Maintain accurate student records and meet all reporting requirements.
-Support and uphold district policies and expectations.

-Bachelor’s degree (required)
-Valid Texas teaching certification for 4th–8th grade or EC–6 with demonstrated math competency (required or ability to obtain)
-Strong knowledge of math content and best practices in math instruction
-Effective classroom management and student engagement skills
-Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
-Passion for teaching and helping students grow academically and personally
