Position Overview:
Dawson ISD is seeking a motivated and dedicated Teacher / Boys Assistant Coach to join our team. This position includes teaching 7th–12th grade History along with coaching responsibilities across three boys’ sports. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student success both in the classroom and in athletics.

Key Responsibilities:
-Teach 7th–12th grade History in alignment with TEKS and district expectations
-Create an engaging and structured classroom environment that promotes student learning
-Serve as an assistant coach for boys’ athletics (three sports as assigned)
-Assist with planning, organizing, and supervising practices, games, and athletic events
-Promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among student-athletes
-Collaborate with coaching staff, administration, and faculty to support student success
-Maintain communication with students, parents, and staff
-Uphold district policies, UIL regulations, and professional standards

-Bachelor’s degree (required)
-Valid Texas teaching certification in Social Studies/History (required or ability to obtain)

-CDL or willingness to obtain CDL for student transportation (required)
