Dawson Independent School District is committed to providing a supportive and student-centered learning environment. We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Jr./Sr. High Paraprofessional to assist teachers and support student success across our secondary campus.

Position Overview:
The Jr./Sr. High Paraprofessional will work under the supervision of certified teachers and campus administration to support instruction, classroom management, and student needs. This role is essential in helping create a positive and productive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:
-Assist teachers with instructional support and classroom activities
-Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts
-Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
-Help maintain a structured and orderly classroom environment
-Assist with preparation of instructional materials and classroom organization
-Monitor student behavior in classrooms, hallways, and common areas
-Provide supervision during transitions, lunch, and other assigned duties
-Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies and procedures
-Perform other duties as assigned by campus administration

-High school diploma or GED (required)
-Associate’s degree or higher (preferred)
-Experience working with children or in an educational setting (preferred)
