The Dawson Independent School District is committed to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Custodian to help maintain our facilities and support daily campus operations.

Position Overview:
The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety across school facilities during daytime operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a positive learning environment for all students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
-Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas
-Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces throughout the campus
-Monitor and maintain cleanliness during the school day
-Remove trash and recycling regularly
-Perform minor maintenance and report repair needs
-Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and organized
-Assist with setup and cleanup for school activities and events
-Follow all safety procedures and district guidelines

-Hourly wage based on experience
-Health insurance provided by the district
-$10,000 life insurance policy
-Christmas bonus
-Unused local leave reimbursement of 5 local days

-High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
-Previous custodial or maintenance experience (preferred)
-Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs
-Knowledge of cleaning equipment and safety procedures
-Strong work ethic and attention to detail
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
