Superintendent Stacy Henderson Retires

After 13 years of unwavering dedication to Dawson ISD, Superintendent Stacy Henderson is retiring, leaving behind a district that is stronger, more financially stable, and more student-focused than ever before. Mr. Henderson has been a steady and visionary leader, guiding our schools with integrity, wisdom, and a deep commitment to student success.

Under his leadership, Dawson ISD has not only thrived financially but has also fostered an environment where every student is encouraged to reach their fullest potential. His keen financial stewardship has ensured that the district remains strong for years to come, allowing for improved resources, enhanced programs, and greater opportunities for our students. But beyond the numbers, Mr. Henderson’s true impact lies in the lives he has touched—supporting teachers, inspiring students, and creating a culture of excellence and achievement.

In true fashion of his servant leadership, Mr. Henderson will remain on staff until December to assist the new superintendent with learning the day-to-day operations of the district—further demonstrating his dedication to a smooth and successful transition.

Mr. Henderson, your legacy will live on in the success of the students you have championed, the educators you have empowered, and the community you have strengthened. Thank you for your dedication, your leadership, and your heart for Dawson ISD. We wish you all the best in this next chapter of life—you will always be a part of the Dawson Bulldog family!
