Dawson ISD is proud to announce Andrea Farish as the Lone Finalist for the Superintendent of Schools position!
After a two-month search process, the Dawson ISD Board of Education reviewed 28 applications and interviewed 7 outstanding candidates. Following thoughtful deliberation, the Board selected Mrs. Farish as the Lone Finalist — the final step before officially naming her as Superintendent, following a state-required 21-day waiting period.
A native of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Mrs. Farish has been an integral part of Dawson ISD since 2016 and will soon begin her 10th school year with the district. For the past 9 years, she has served as Principal of Dawson Elementary, where her exceptional leadership has helped shape a culture of growth, academic success, and community. In addition, she has served as Dawson ISD’s Human Resources Director for the past two years, further demonstrating her versatility, dedication, and deep understanding of district operations.
Andrea is married to Ryan Farish, and together they are raising two proud Dawson Bulldogs, Harlee and Whitley. Her commitment to education, proven leadership, and strong ties to the Dawson community make her the ideal choice to lead our district into the future.
We are excited for what’s ahead and confident that Dawson ISD will continue to thrive under Mrs. Farish’s leadership!
