Dawson ISD is dedicated to providing quality instruction for all of our students every day. We are always recruiting more substitute teachers and auxiliary staff to make this happen!

Dawson ISD Substitutes play an important role in improving student achievement. Substitute teaching is a demanding job that requires positive attitudes, organization, mental preparation, flexibility, and skill. We value our Substitute Teachers who contribute to student achievement through their commitment to quality education. In addition, substitute teaching provides an opportunity to gain experience and see first-hand what it takes to be a successful teacher in Dawson ISD. Additionally, we are always looking for people to serve in our Food Service, Custodial and Maintenance Departments. 

Our online application allows applicants to submit application information electronically from any device with internet access. Interested individuals are encouraged to complete an application online. Completing the substitute application does not guarantee a substitute employee position. In addition, substitute teachers may be terminated from service at any time. You will be contacted via email with additional instructions regarding your position with the school, including the date, time, and place you should come for the next part of the process should your qualifications match the District’s needs.
